We are pleased to be supplying a Yellowbrick tracker for the RAF Regiment Northern Exposure 2010 Expedition.
Exercise NORTHERN EXPOSURE is the Royal Air Force expedition to the Geographic North Pole and will see a 4-man ice team skiing unsupported approximately 416 nautical miles (770 km) in 60 days pulling a sled weighing in the region of 250lb.
Because the Yellowbrick uses Iridium to transmit positions, the public, media and support team will be able to see where the team are during their expedition. Iridium is the ONLY satellite network to allow transmissions from anywhere on Earth, including the North and South poles - yet another reason why the Yellowbrick has been chosen for this challenge!
More Information can be found on the Northern Exposure 2010 website
